Alejandro Vizcaino | FOUNDER OF Indiegrow
We firmly believe that we can make a positive change in the coffee industry, benefiting communities of women coffee farmers who live in vulnerable conditions. With advances in technology, logistics, and e-commerce, we are implementing a direct trade business model between communities of women coffee growers and people who love an excellent cup of coffee.
We collect data, best practices, and knowledge, and share them with the community to improve quality continuously. With the support of the United Nations Peace-building Fund, we are building peace and gender equality, and encouraging people to consume more sustainable coffee.

“We firmly believe that we can make a positive change in the coffee industry, benefiting communities of women coffee farmers who live in vulnerable conditions.
Nowadays technology allows us to connect two worlds around the same passion: women who grow the best coffee and those who love to consume it.”
– Alejandro Vizcaino
We work with vulnerable communities of women coffee producers in Colombia who live in territories affected by the internal armed conflict in Colombia.
We currently have a goal of increasing the income of each woman coffee producer by 40%, which so far, due to the excellent acceptance of 50 Amigas coffee, we have met and exceeded. Each woman producer receives a percentage of sales proceeds directly which allows her to increase her income and improve the quality of life of her family.
